Why You Need Zupafood In Your Life

Are you feeling a little lack lustre? Below par? Lethargic? Not quite glowing with health and vitality?

We all do at some time or other right? It’s something I’ve really struggled with for the last couple of years and while there is a plethora of health products out there, it can be difficult to know which to choose.

I have my faves. Lani’s (that would be Lopez) Pez Rez Resveratrol. More and more studies are showing how good this is for us. And her Ole Up.

Imedeen. I’ve done a bit of work with Imedeen and have taken it non-stop for a good 18 months or so now. It rocks.

Go Healthy Mood Support is amazing when you’re going through challenging times. You can take it with prescription meds also.

Actually Go Healthy do some amazing products. As do Red Seal. And they give us super easy access to naturopathic advice too.

My latest addictions – yes I do call them that(!) – are Zupafood and Bestow Beauty Oil. I know I’ve written about the latter before, which you can read here. But lately I’ve been suffering rashes all over and my skin has been a little fragile so both Louise at Louise Gray Skincare and Melissa at More Than Skin Albany recommended taking a tablespoon of Bestow daily to help. Melissa suggested mixing it with protein, so I add it to yoghurt on my rolled oats.

Zupafood

But now to Zupafood. I was sent a month’s trial pack of the Elite version recently and was instantly hooked.

As you might know if you’re a regular at GoG, I do try and have a regular smoothie jam packed with greens and spirulina and all sorts of other goodies (see here, here and here for recipes), but sometimes time doesn’t allow or…if I’m honest….I get a bit lazy!

Zupafood comes in individual sachets with a mini shaker so all you have to do is break open the sachet, pour it in the shaker, add water, and shake.

Brilliant! Plus it tastes nice.

What’s in Zupafood?

Soooo much goodness.

Zupafoods

First of all there are three variations: Skin and GreenZ and Elite.

They’re designed to get your energy going, support health and immunity and support sagging and droopy skin (love that!).

Zupafoods are – and I quote –  ‘ALL natural, with no sugars added and with specially developed natural flavoring produced in New Zealand from REAL fruit. Nothing artificial!’

Goodies like Kiwi Fruit Powder, Kiwi Fruit Extract, Grape Seed Extract, Grape Skin Extract, Grape Juice Powder and Apple Fibre are included in the formulations and the ELITE and GREENZ versions also contain New Zealand Organic Barley Grass and Organic Wheatgrass.

All of the varieties also include a special type of calcium called Aquamin TG, from marine algae, to help you get your daily calcium intake in an excellent bio-available form. You will also find a high energy green tea extract in each ZUPAFOOD to help maintain your energy levels.

Then there’s things like:

  • Collactive™ marine collagen and elastin polypeptides – proven to benefit skin elasticity, hair and nails
  • organic Spirulina – a significant source of amino acids
  • essential fatty acids – including ALA, GLA, EPA and DHA
  • vitamins B, A, E, K and C
  • minerals and antioxidants
  • four different kinds of medicinal mushrooms – one of these, the Lion’s Mane mushroom, helps to maintain healthy brain function and supports cognitive function

Shop it: Elite, $69.95, for Skin, $63.95, Greenz, $46.95

Xtend-Life

How great is that? I want buckets of the stuff :-). I did some more research into Xtend-Life – the company that makes Zupafood. It’s Christchurch based and they do some incredible products judging by the ingredient lists.

Turns out it was founded by 68-year-old Warren Matthews in 2000 when he lost his fortune. He was 51 at the time. It’s inspiring because he sat back and thought, hmmm, if I’m going to have to start all over again I need to be healthy.

He and his son had an interest in supplements, so some (amazing!) friends loaned Warren some money and they started researching.

Fast forward to 2015 and Xtend-Life is big. Most of their business is done internationally – 80% is the US. They create products to give us more energy,  great skin and to help with degenerative illness such as arthritis and cardiovascular disease.

Warren talks a little bit about his story, men’s health and keeping healthy here (a 7 minute watch).

Or this video via theexaminer is 20 minutes long, but it’s the full story and is well worth a watch if you have an interest in entrepreneurship, supplements, health and backstories :-).

PS: Just so you know, this is not a sponsored post. It sounds like one, but I just wanted to let you guys know about this company as it’s a goody.
