The Best Thing You Can Do For Your Health

What is the single best thing you can do for your health?

We get bombarded with what we should/could do for our health: exercise daily, drink lots of water, eat lots of veggies, load up on protein, ditch the carbs, drop sugar, be cautious of wheat and so on and so on.

It kind of does your head in, especially when one person advocates one thing and another says don’t touch it.

Argh! It’s enough to make you throw your toys out don’t you think?

So I thought I’d ask the question(s) on all of our behalves(!):

1. What is the single best thing we can do for our health?

2. What one thing can we commit to that will give us the best ROI (return on investment)?

Turns out I’m not original in my question and the answer is pretty unanimous. Exercise 30 minutes a day. Not hard out, walking is just fine.

All of the other things are good too of course, but it seems this is the single best thing we can do for ourselves.

And loads of people all over the good old internet from the Huffington Post to Medical Daily (my research library tends to be Ms Google now) tout the wisdom of University of Toronto statistics professor Dr Michael Evans. In fact it seems the whiteboard video I’m about to share with you is now a classic. Nearly five million people have watched it!

According to Doc Evans 30 minutes of exercise can reduce the pain of arthritis, slow dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease, improve life for those with diabetes, help post-menopausal women lessen their risk of fractures, diminish anxiety and depression and a host of other things.

It’s not rocket science. It’s simple.

Easy really.

Check out his video entitled 23 ½ hours per day…a brilliant piece. It’s 9 minutes, 18 seconds and I encourage you to watch it right to the end, it has the potential to change your life. Truly. 🙂
