Big News From Elizabeth Arden
Elizabeth Arden are branching out!
I was surprised when I saw this news, it should be great.
Elizabeth Arden are opening their very own Beauty Boutique at 62 Queen Street, Auckland.
The ‘red doors’ are a famous New York City icon and now we’ll have some of our own. Probably not quite the same but synonymous with class and sophistication.
The company says it’s where ahhh meets ooh là là 🙂
The beauty giant(ess) has chosen lower Queen Street because it is a luxury destination for other top international brands so they’ll be in good company.
It’ll have a modern façade and interior and be superbly staffed by top beauty experts, and it’ll offer the entire Elizabeth Arden portfolio of skincare, colour and fragrances as well as offering unique beauty services including hairstyling/blow dry, makeup application, luxury facials, nails, lashes and brows. That came straight from the company from me to you :-).where ahhh meets ooh là là 🙂 Click To Tweet
How cool is that?
Elizabeth Arden’s gorgeous GM Valerie Riley has this say about the boutique (picture it being said with Valerie’s beautiful French accent):
“Our goal is that when a woman enters the store, she will have the opportunity to choose from the best technology in our skincare lines (PREVAGE, Ceramide, Skin Illuminating, Visible Difference, Eight Hour Cream), experience our innovative colour and foundation lineup, and discover our Elizabeth Arden fragrance portfolio (UNTOLD, Red Door, Green Tea, 5th Avenue). We view this iconic location as a pilot laboratory to experiment with new and exciting ideas for products, promotions, and service driven events. The boutique will offer the ultimate total beauty shopping experience.”
How beautiful. Can’t wait to see it. It opens in October.
And while we’re on the subject of Elizabeth Arden I’ve got to tell you about the limited edition Sunkissed Pearls makeup collection. It’s beautiful (it’s been out since August so get in quick).
From left to right:
Sunkissed Pearls Lipgloss Trio
In Pink Pearl, Coral Pearl and Berry Pearlwith long-wearing, moisturising, smoothing and plumping technology, $69
Sunkissed Pearls Bronzer & Highlighter
Bronzer is every girls best friend and this one has two bronzing shades and a highlighter so you can contour to your hearts content if it floats your boat. It’s got skin-loving vitamin E and argan oil in the formulation, $69.
Elizabeth Arden’s Global Makeup Artist Rebecca Restrepo shows you how to use bronzer with some subtle contouring in this video.
Contouring is a huge trend in makeup right now. To do it you use the darker shades above on the areas you want to recede and the highlighter to bring out areas you want to stand out. If you want to go all out with your contouring this video with Wayne Goss shows you how.
Sunkissed Pearls Cream Eye Shadow Stylo
Now these are great because they can double as an eyeliner if you like a more subtle look. They offer buildable colour so you can go light or deeper and they’re long wearing. They’ve also got a build-in sharpener which is a bonus (I’m always searching for my sharpeners).
Plus they have ‘soft focus microspheres’ to blur imperfections and lines (thought you’d like that!) and aloe and jojoba oil. In super flattering shades like Bronze Pearl, Freshwater Pearl and Blue Pearl, $45.
Sunkissed Pearls Gel Eyeliner
This is GREAT. It has saturated pigments for great definition, emollients so it’s super-glide-y which you want when you’re applying eyeliner and lots of skin loving oils like avocado, jojoba, olive, sunflower seed, avocado and vitamin E.
Don’t worry, it comes with a small, angled brush to help you apply it just right. $46.
